We'd visited nearby Port d'Envaux and spotted the red sun umbrellas along the bank as we crossed the river bridge en route home. it looked a nice spot so we drove down to where there's parking available at the end of the building or along the access road. The cafe has plenty of indoor and outdoor seating plus picnic type tables on the river bank. The girl behind the counter was also waiting tables and she was extremely friendly and quick to take our orders which consisted of hot and cold drinks plus Peach Melba. It was a hot and muggy day but there was a welcome imtermitant breeze which made it a very pleasant spot overlooking the river, watching kids swimming and passing river cruise boats. One of the best spots in the area in my opinion. You can hire pedalos and they also have music evenings which are no doubt popular.
