We had just arrived in the area and needed to find some dinner and managed to call and book a table at very short notice. There seemed to be plenty to choose from and we both had a very interesting salad of smoked salmon, mango, pineapple and leaves. Unusual combination and very tasty. As it was late we just had a main course. It was expensive, I think the salads were around 18 Euro, but we were just pleased to find a table somewhere. Every restaurant in Salies needs a reservation.

Malgré l'heure tardive pour les restaurants de Salies (13h02)un jeudi....Nous sommes bien accueillis, c'est l'occasion de découvrir un concept : Le client fait le service!- La prise de commande se fait à la même place que la remise des plats aux convives ainsi que le retour des plats terminés .Embouteillage !De nombreux clients sont repartis faute de tables (environ:16 durant notre repas).Il me semble "qu'un coup de cerveau" ferait gagner en fluidité .Par exemple 3 endroits différents: commande paiement, remise plats; retour vaisselle.Mais la qualité des plats est excellente !!!!! L'ambiance est belle, l'idée est à parfaire.

We had not planned to eat here but the setting of the hotel looked so inviting that we decided to have lunch, a meal that turned out to be excellent and very good value compared to the prices in Biarritz where we were staying. It seemed to be popular with the locals which is always a good sign. The food was beautifully presented and perfectly cooked there was plenty of choice on the menu and dishes came with vegetables which after spending two weeks in this region where they are rarely seem was a pleasant surprise. Our waitress was friendly and efficient. We would love to return.
