Le Pha was a recommendation from the owners of our gite and it did not disappoint. It was our last night in Le Bugue and we just didn't feel like another BBQ. Great mix of Asian and French dishes, something for everyone regardless of age, all reasonably priced and served by really friendly staff. The terrace overlooks the river and provided a perfect back drop to our last evening meal in the Dordogne. OK it looks a little tired from the outside but don't be put off by that, the food was really good. Would definitely recommend that you give it a try either for lunch or in the evening when in Le Bugue..

I arrived mid afternoon in Le Bugue, too late for most of the restaurants so was getting desperate for a coffee and a nibble. Glad in the end that I was too late for the other places as I was far more comfortable at Xavier Cauets. The two ladies serving were so nice and held conversation with me in my imperfect French. The raisin swirl patisserie was delicious, the place was quiet and in full sunshine. Lovely. Would definitely re-visit when in Le Bugue.

Shopping at the Intermarche in Le Bugue and came outside feeling hungry. I saw this little Kiosk selling Pizzas and had a look. The guy was making his own doe on site and the sign said it is made fresh every day. I ordered the Le kiosk and was told 10 mins.In this time quiet a few locals turned up to collect their orders so that was a good sign.Got the pizza and took to the place I was staying and boy what a surprise. I have eaten quite a few take away pizzas and been disappointed by all but this was one out the box so to speak. It was fantastic the base was true Italian style (there were no options for the base) The flavours and texture were magnificent slightly spicy but not to hot and it had an egg in the middle but it made sense and complimented the rest of the pizza. I would recommend you to give it a try and not waste time in the local pizzeria sit down, the food here was far better. Just buy it and go and sit by the river and enjoy and he will also sell you a bottle of wine to go with it.For a take away Pizza this was just heaven.

... toujours fermé, la terrasse avec vue sur la Vézère, le plus enfroit pour boire un verre à "Le Bugue", c'est dommage, y'a personne, personne pour vous accueillir, quel gachis pour une si belle terrasse pas optimisée, ça manque de com !!! faites quelle chose !

Nous voulions revenir dans ce restaurant depuis longtemps, mais il était toujours fermé les jours où nous avons visité Le Bugue, mais cette semaine, il était ouvert La dernière fois que nous avons mangé ici, nous étions à l'intérieur, mais cette fois nous nous sommes assis sur la terrasse à l'ombre et il faisait frais malgré la température il a atteint 39c plus tard dans la journéeLa nourriture est très italienne dans son concept, sa présentation et sa saveur et c'est tout simplement merveilleuxNous avons le menu de jour et pour 14,50 € c'était trois plats tous bien présentés et un taille de portion raisonnable, donc vous saviez que vous aviez pris un repas et ils étaient tous délicieux Nous y retournerons encore et encore car la qualité et la valeur sont juste Un vrai bijou
